The administration of Cuttington University has begun issuing Identification Card on its three campuses in Suakoko, Monrovia and Kakata. The Identification Card according to the Director of information Technology IT, Mr. T-Herbert Johnson is intended to identify the university’s students in the three Counties, including Bong, Margibi and Monsterrado.
The process according to Johnson targets faculty and staffs including students of the University’s campus school CCS. The process which started last month October is expected to end November on the University’s main campus in Suakoko.
Director Johnson is appealing to the CU students to take advantage of the process. For his part the president of the 17 Students Legislative Council Lee T. Mason has termed the taking of an Identification Card as rewarding and timely.
The Identification Card according to Mason was part of his campaign message during the just ended students’ election that witnessed his victory.
He then lauded the President of the University Dr. Browne for his farsightedness.
He told the cutting edge newspaper that the taking of an Identification Card is a clear manifestation of what students are going to enjoy during the administration of Dr. Browne.
“We are happy to see our students taking ID card today, the ID card will help our students to be identified as university students” Mason concluded.
Our reporter who visited the scene at the start of the exercise in Suakoko said students including faculty members were seen on a long cue with smile on their faces.
He witnessed students filing the ID card forms around the IT section in Suakoko.
