Cuttington University Upward Bound Program 2019
The Upward Bound Program targets fresh high school graduates seeking admission into colleges. The program which holds during the long vacation period (July-August) features highly enriching activities: academic, life skills, extracurricular activities and field experience.
· Academic subjects
Ø English (Reading, comprehension, creative writing and library research).
Ø Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Computer and Mathematics)
Ø General Studies (Ethics, Life skills and African studies).
The program is designed in such a way that students also engage in extracurricular activities like Physical Education, Drama, Educational Movie watching and excursion to life-impacting sites in the country.
Throughout the 6 weeks, students admitted into the program are accommodated on our campus, fed in our cafeteria, and gain unlimited access to our learning facilities (library, science and computer labs among others).
Registration
The 2019 Upward Bound Program will be held between July 6 and August 10. Students’ arrival and registration is July 6-7; orientation and classes shall commence on July 8 and end on August 9. Departure date is August 10, 2019.
Fees
Fees is $200 (includes accommodation, feeding, teaching kits, fieldtrips, extra-curricular activities)
